A former chairperson on Parliamentary select committee on Agriculture, Food and Cocoa Affairs, Mr Kwame Asafu Agyei has called for a temporary ban on maize exportation into our neighbouring countries.
He has observed that the majority of our poultry farms are folding ups as a result of maize scarcity in the country.
For the government to save the collapsing poultry industry, the banning of maize exportation must be instituted forthwith.
