Dean of NPP Constituency Chairmen, FiiFi Mensah, Endorses Dr. Bawumia for Party Flagbearer

The Dean of all New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairmen in the Ashanti Region, and Bantama Constituency Chairman, Mr. FiiFi Mensah, has declared his full support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the party’s flagbearer election.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM in an interview with Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen, Chairman FiiFi described Dr. Bawumia as the most prepared and forward-looking candidate to lead the party into the 2024 general elections. He commended the Vice President’s role in driving economic reforms, digital transformation, and social interventions aimed at improving the welfare of Ghanaians.

“Dr. Bawumia is the most prepared among all the aspirants. He has the competence, the vision, and the track record to lead our party to victory and move Ghana forward,” he stated.

Chairman FiiFi, urged NPP delegates particularly those within Bantama to rally behind Dr. Bawumia. He stressed that unity, continuity, and a clear vision were critical for the party’s success in 2024.

He expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership would strengthen the party’s electoral prospects and help consolidate the country’s development gains.

“We have seen what Dr. Bawumia has done in modernizing our economy and improving the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. This is the kind of leadership we need to consolidate our gains,” he added.

Chairman FiiFi also applauded all aspirants in the flagbearer race for their decorum and adherence to party guidelines. He encouraged them and their supporters to maintain a peaceful posture as the internal contest progresses.

The NPP is scheduled to host its flagbearer elections on January 31, 2026.
