Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul Kwabena Yandoh, has called for strict enforcement of the party’s newly amended laws, describing it as crucial to restoring public trust and rebuilding the party for victory in 2028.
Speaking on Pure FM’s Morning Drive with Kwame Adinkra, Mr. Yandoh said the reforms adopted at the conference must go beyond symbolism and be implemented with discipline and consistency.
“The new amendment of the party laws should be enforced,” he stated. “Let’s enforce the law for the betterment of our dear party.”
The NPP, during the Extraordinary National Delegates Conference last Saturday, approved over 50 motions, including amendments aimed at strengthening internal party discipline, streamlining structures, and enhancing transparency in party operations.
Mr. Yandoh emphasized that these reforms represent a turning point in the party’s quest to return to power in 2028.
“This marks a major step forward in our mission to return the party to power,” he added, urging the leadership to show commitment to accountability.
He also called on the party to reconnect with the electorate through humility and unity.
“It’s time to be humble and apologize to the good people of Ghana, and make our amendments work to win their trust and confidence,” he said.
The NPP lost the 2024 general elections after two terms in government. Many within the party believe internal reform and re-engagement with the grassroots are critical to a successful political comeback.
