Ghana v Nigeria: GH₵50 gate fee too expensive- Bright Kankam Boadu

Multiple award-winning Sports Broadcaster, Bright Kankam Boadu (BKB) has advocated for a significant reduction in the price of tickets for the Ghana-Nigeria World Cup qualifying tie, Purefmonline.com.
The host of Kumasi-based ‘Pure Sports’ says the move to sell popular stand tickets for GH₵50 and VIP for GH₵100 for the match will affect the game’s patronage by locals especially at a time where the national team is enjoying support deficit.
He made the assertion on the Friday, March 18, edition of ‘PureSports’ monitored by Purefmonline.com.
“The tickets went on sale online yesterday but it’s off this morning. Let me say to the authorities that the fifty cedis gate fee for popular stands is expensive. We need the numbers. This high price will discourage the stadium patronage of the game especially when it will be broadcasted live on TV.
They should reconsider and reduce the price to say 15 cedis or 20 cedis maximum for popular stands and 50 cedis for VIP.” BKB stated.
He further revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA), through its public relation outfit will be offering 2,000 tickets sales to Nigerian supporters.
Ghana will play Nigeria in the 1st leg on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 19:30GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
