The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has extended a message of solidarity to the management and staff of Pure FM following the devastating fire outbreak that affected the station’s main studios.
The message was conveyed through a delegation from Opemsuo Radio, led by the Head of Political Desk, Kofi Boakye (Melchi), and senior journalist Kwadwo Fosu, who visited the station on behalf of His Majesty.
During the visit, the team relayed Otumfuo’s heartfelt message of consolation and encouragement, emphasizing that the space Pure FM occupies within the media landscape is too significant to be lost.
“We are happy to see that, despite the setback, management has worked tirelessly to get the station back on air through a temporary studio within such a short time. This shows true resilience,” the delegation noted.
They further assured the station of His Majesty’s support toward ongoing efforts to restore and rebuild the station’s full operations.
The visit adds to the growing wave of public support being extended to Pure FM following the incident, highlighting the station’s strong ties within the Ashanti Region and its importance to the wider media community.
