Indian High Commission celebrates International YOGA Day in Kumasi

The Indian High Commission to Ghana is set to celebrate this year’s global YOGA Day in Kumasi, Ghana.

The Commission on June 22, 2024, will join the Rotary Club of Kumasi – Premier International, to earmark the global event.

The occasion will be held at the Hindu Monastry Temple (Krishna Temple, Dabaan) under the theme “Yoga for Self and Society.”

The theme highlights how yoga not only enhances personal health but also contributes to social well-being. It underscores the interconnectedness of individual and collective health, promoting yoga as a tool for personal growth and societal betterment.

Among the many activities slated by the commission for the occasion, a comprehensive yoga exercise and training will be held Krishna Temple, Dabaan from 9:00am to 11:00am to honor the day.

Two qualified yoga instructors have been billed to take participants through some yoga techniques including that of asanas, Surya namaskar and pranayam.

The commission invites the general public to participate in marking and celebrating the global yoga day.
