The newly-elected executives of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Ashanti Region, have paid a courtesy visit to Pure FM in Kumasi as part of their regional appreciation tour. The visit formed part of efforts to express gratitude to media organizations for their support during and after the elections, and to strengthen cooperation within the journalism fraternity.
Leading the delegation was the newly-elected Regional Chairman, Mr. Kofi Adu Domfeh, who outlined the new administration’s vision of promoting unity, professionalism, and collaboration among journalists in the region. He indicated that the GJA under his leadership would focus on building a more cohesive and ethically grounded media community that upholds the core values of truth, fairness, and accountability.
During the engagement, the executives shared their plans to introduce training and mentorship programmes aimed at enhancing the professional competence of journalists. They also explored possible collaborations with Pure FM and other media outlets to advance the welfare and development of practitioners in the Ashanti Region.
Management of Pure FM commended the GJA leadership for the visit and expressed readiness to support activities that promote responsible journalism and strengthen the media’s contribution to national development.
The appreciation tour will continue with visits to other media houses across the region as part of the Association’s commitment to building stronger relationships with stakeholders in the media landscape.
