Business Manager of Pure FM, Kwame Adinkrah, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the public and various institutions following the fire that ravaged the station’s studios and production rooms last night.
In a statement released after the incident, Mr. Adinkrah described the overwhelming outpouring of love and solidarity as “deeply moving,” noting that despite the severe setback, the team remains resolute.
“Though we face a setback, our spirit remains unbroken. Pure FM shall rise again,” he stated.
A wide range of political, corporate, and media institutions have extended support in the aftermath of the blaze. Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia delegated Hon. Opare Ansah to visit the station on his behalf and express his sympathy. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) also issued a formal statement, offering its solidarity and encouragement to the Pure FM team, with individual members like Hon. Kojo Oppong, Nkrumah, MP, Ofoase-Ayirebi, and a former Minister of Information reaching out to staff to share his solidarity and encouragement message.
Similarly, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) extended its support through an official statement, describing the incident as unfortunate and assuring the station of its readiness to assist where needed.
From the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, popularly known as King Zuba, visited the station as a representative of the party to console staff and offer words of encouragement.
Former Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Sam Pyne, was also present to show his support.
The support extended beyond politics. Leading media houses such as Asaase Radio, Multimedia Group, Lawson Media, Oyerepa FM/TV, Media General, Ghanaweb, Wontumi Multimedia and others also reached out.
Businesses including Royal Basin Hotel and Miklin Hotel also have offered their assistance during this difficult time.
Mr. Adinkrah also thanked political parties—the NPP, NDC, CPP—and countless others who have stood with Pure FM during this setback.
Mr. Adinkrah stated:

Opare Ansah to visit us at Pure FM. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Zuba, former Mayor, Hon. Sam Pyne, Asaase Radio, Multimedia Group, Lawson Media, Royal Basin Hotel, Miklin Hotel, NPP, NDC, CPP and many others who have reached out. We are equally thankful to the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Police Service, and NADMO for their swift response.”
Equally important, the Business Manager praised the swift and professional response of emergency services. “We are thankful to the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Police Service, and NADMO for their swift response,” he added.
The fire, which broke out during live programming, destroyed the main studio, production rooms, and key broadcast equipment. Despite the extensive damage, Mr. Adinkrah assured the public that the station’s resolve is stronger than ever.
“Though we face a setback, our spirit remains unbroken. Pure FM shall rise again,” he declared.
