THE SILVER JUBILEE OF OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II

The 25th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is being celebrated in grand style with a wide range of exciting activities! There has been so much to look forward to. From the enlightening Sagrenti Symposium at Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST), where more light was shed on the history of Asante, and also the commemoration of 150 years of the Sagrenti war at Manhyia.
It has been a truly remarkable celebration so far stamped with the wonderful celebration of our esteemed Queen mothers, where a delightful display of different local foods took place.
Again, the Ahohuo (Visitors) Durbar was also a highlight, showcasing the unity and hospitality of the Asantes as different ethnic groups living in Ashanti visited the Asantehene.
The opening of the magnificent Otumfuo Osei II Jubilee Hall has become the talk of the country!
As we move into the month of May, there are even more exciting activities to come. The Manhyia Museum will be reopening, and the highly anticipated Otumfuo commemorative stamp by Ghana Post will be unveiled on the 4th of May.
Finally, the grand Durbar, the Akwesidae festival, will take place on the 12th of May at the Manhyia palace. This 25th anniversary celebration is truly going to be an unforgettable experience!
