VIDEO: Dr. Kwaku Oteng visits fire-ravaged Pure FM, assures swift rebound

The founder and CEO of Angel Group of Companies, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, has visited the premises of Pure FM in Kumasi following a fire outbreak that destroyed the station’s studios earlier this week.
During the visit, Dr. Oteng who is the owner of Angel Broadcasting Network, of which Pure FM is a subsidiary, met with management and staff to assess the extent of the damage and offer words of encouragement. He expressed strong confidence that Pure FM will return to the airwaves in just a matter of weeks, promising a swift rebuilding process.
“We’ve been shaken, but we’re not down,” he remarked. “Pure FM will rise again — stronger, better, and even more vibrant.”
He urged staff to remain confident in the Lord and keep their faith intact, assuring them that brighter days are ahead. His message was clear: the station may have been disrupted, but its spirit remains unbroken.
Dr. Oteng also extended his heartfelt gratitude to loyal listeners, partners, and well-wishers for their unwavering support during this challenging time. He acknowledged the outpouring of solidarity and goodwill that has flooded the station’s social media channels since the incident.
“I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out with words of encouragement. Your loyalty and prayers mean the world to us,” he said.
Pure FM, is a leading radio station in the Ashanti Region. It temporarily suspended operations after its studios at Patasi were gutted by fire. Investigations into the cause of the incident are still underway. Meanwhile, the station’s management says plans are far advanced to restore full programming in the shortest possible time.
