QNET, in partnership with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), has launched a nationwide public awareness campaign to educate Ghanaians on job fraud and human trafficking schemes being perpetrated under the false use of QNET’s name.
The campaign aims to expose individuals and syndicates who have exploited the company’s identity to defraud unsuspecting citizens while assuring the public that decisive action is being taken against offenders. Several arrests have already been made as part of ongoing investigations.
Announcing the initiative, the Head of Compliance at QNET, Mrs. Theodocia Naana Bennieh Quartey, said the company remains committed to protecting its reputation and the public from criminal elements who misuse its brand.
“This campaign is to help Ghanaians distinguish between genuine QNET operations and fraudulent schemes run by impostors. We want the public to know that QNET does not engage in illegal recruitment or trafficking activities,” she stated.
According to EOCO, the campaign will cover all 16 regions of Ghana, reflecting the agency’s determination to curb organized crime and safeguard citizens from deceptive job offers and investment scams.
During the launch, QNET representatives showcased some of the company’s authentic wellness and lifestyle products, including the Chi Pendant and Bio Disc 3, emphasizing that these are part of QNET’s legitimate business operations.
The Head of EOCO’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Staff Officer Dominic Mensah, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to fighting human trafficking. He disclosed that recent operations have led to the rescue of 231 victims, many of them foreign nationals, predominantly Nigerians.
“EOCO, in collaboration with QNET, conducted another major operation last month which resulted in further rescues and arrests. The suspects are currently assisting with investigations,” he revealed.
The joint effort between QNET and EOCO underscores a shared commitment to protecting the public from fraudulent recruitment networks and human trafficking syndicates operating under false pretenses.
