Bawumia is a Generational Thinker – Dr. Ayew Afriyie

The Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has described former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a generational thinker whose vision and policies distinguish him from other aspirants vying for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidacy.
Speaking in an interview, Dr. Ayew Afriyie noted that Dr. Bawumia’s forward-looking approach to governance, particularly in the areas of digitalization, financial inclusion, and economic transformation, has left a lasting mark on Ghana. He argued that such qualities make him the best candidate to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections and secure victory for the party.
“Dr. Bawumia is a generational thinker. His policies go beyond the present; they are designed to prepare Ghana for the future. Among all the aspirants, he stands tall as the one with both vision and experience to lead our great party into 2028 and beyond,” Dr. Ayew Afriyie stated.
The Effiduase-Asokore legislator further explained that while many political leaders often focus on short-term gains, Dr. Bawumia has consistently introduced bold and innovative ideas that reshape institutions and create opportunities for the next generation.
He urged delegates and the wider NPP fraternity to rally behind Dr. Bawumia, stressing that his tested leadership, global outlook, and commitment to development uniquely position him to steer both the party and the nation toward a prosperous future.
