Bryan Acheampong Is the Number One Economist in Ghana” — Hon. Elvis Osei Mensah

Hon. Elvis Osei Mensah, Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, has described Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the most outstanding candidate among the contenders, calling him “the number one economist in Ghana.”

Speaking on Pure FM, Hon. Osei Mensah said Dr. Bryan Acheampong stands out among the five candidates due to his competence, experience, and unique background. He described Bryan as fit for the job, highly knowledgeable, and exceptionally accomplished academically, noting that he holds multiple master’s degrees.

According to him, Dr. Acheampong’s versatility sets him apart. In addition to his academic achievements, he is also a trained pilot, a quality Hon. Osei Mensah said symbolises discipline, precision, and leadership. “He is unique among the five,” he stated, adding that Bryan has lived an exemplary life that has inspired many within the party. He likened his impact in leadership and strategy to that of Joe Anokye in the IT space.

Hon. Osei Mensah further emphasised that Dr. Acheampong is a man who fulfills his promises, pointing out that he has already visited 42 constituencies to engage directly with party members and delegates. He described him as young, energetic, and well-prepared for the demands of national leadership.

Touching on national security, the MP said Dr. Acheampong is highly security-conscious and intelligent, qualities that are critical at a time when the country faces growing security challenges. He stressed that religion should not be the basis for choosing a leader, insisting that leadership must be assessed on competence, track record, and results.

Highlighting Dr. Acheampong’s tenure as Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Osei Mensah said he demonstrated clear capacity in policy implementation and agricultural management, particularly through initiatives such as cocoa syndication, which reflected his economic insight and leadership ability.

He added that Dr. Acheampong has shown a rare level of respect for party delegates, stating that he is willing to personally return to thank all delegates after winning the elections—an approach he said is uncommon in party politics. “Delegates are often used only for votes, but Bryan Acheampong will be different,” he assured.

According to Hon. Osei Mensah, Dr. Acheampong intends to continue working closely with delegates even after the elections, strengthening party unity and inclusiveness. He concluded by saying that Bryan Acheampong is the only candidate capable of bringing the party together and positioning the party strongly for the future.
