GFA Ups Referee Development

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its commitment to significantly invest in the development of referees across the country. According to GFA Referees Manager, Alex Kotey, the association is dedicated to enhancing the skills of Ghanaian referees through international training opportunities. Despite some concerns over officiating in the 2023/24 football season, referees showed notable improvement, and the GFA aims to further boost their skills through intensive offseason training. Suspended referees will also undergo training by regional fitness instructors before being cleared to officiate again. This move reinforces the GFA’s dedication to upholding the integrity of the game and improving the standard of officiating in Ghanaian football.
