Kwabena Boateng Congratulates Bawumia, Pledges Support

The Member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Boateng, Esq., has congratulated Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and pledged his full support as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on Pure FM, Hon. Boateng acknowledged that recent political developments did not go as expected but emphasised the need for unity and collective responsibility within the party. He noted that political parties, like all institutions in society, have a duty to support their elected flagbearers.
He expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and maintained that the NPP’s flagbearer has the capacity to win the 2028 presidential election.
On the economy, the Ejisu MP observed that although the depreciation of the US dollar has slowed, it has not yet translated into meaningful relief for the general population, as prices of goods and services remain high.
He also criticised the NDC-led government, stating that promises on job creation have not been fully realised. According to him, this has sustained public expectations for the NPP to present solutions to the country’s economic challenges.
Hon. Boateng further appealed to supporters of Kennedy Agyapong, grassroots members of the party, and the PZ Boys to rally behind Dr. Bawumia, stressing that unity across all party factions is essential for securing victory in the 2028 elections.
He concluded by calling on party members to remain focused and united as the NPP reorganises for future electoral contests.
